Favorite Socks

a simple sock with just enough to keep it interesting

This sock features calf shaping after the ribbing which transitions into gentle bias shaping through the leg and continues into a bias heel flap. The gusset decreases are placed on top of the vamp and the arch is shaped just to keep it interesting until the toe decreases. The added bonus of all this shaping is that it creates a snugger-than-stockinette-stitch foot. The knitter gets to stay interested and the wearer gets a snug fitting sock, all the hallmarks of a favorite pattern.
